Applications of the fire hose nozzle
The fire hose nozzles are the special type devices to be used in production, shaping, discharging and direction of the water and other fire-fighting liquids and foams into the fire source. The fire hose nozzles are installed at the end of the discharge fire hose.
What is the construction of the fire hose nozzle?
As a rule, the fire hose nozzle consists of three parts:
- Solid monolithic body;
- Connector (adapters) for connection to the discharge fire hose;
- Nozzle to be served for producing stream at the other end.
The fire hose nozzles are produced from the aluminum and brass alloys, and rarely, from plastic. In addition and for convenience, the fire hose nozzles may be equipped with the hand grip, lock device, fabric loom, and cramp for belt. - With coupling band (strainer);
- With threaded coupling which provide fast connection to the discharge fire hose.

For example, one type and modification of the fire hose nozzle can produce a steady and straight stream pattern, the other one can produce the fog stream pattern and the third type and modification of the nozzle can make the foam.

- The hand fire hose nozzles for producing and directing of the continuous and steady stream without regulating the water pressure;
- The hand fire hose nozzles with additional device to regulate the water pressure. It allows producing the wide angle stream pattern (torch like). Such a nozzle is also called overlapping. The set may include foam making nozzles.
- Multipurpose hand fire hose nozzles for producing and regulating the strength of the stream depending on the fire situation. These fire hose nozzles can operate with any firefighting liquids.
