Fire hose FOREST (D38 mm) for extinguishing grass and forest

Forest fires, both spontaneous and human-caused, occur most often in summer. High temperatures and low humidity are the main factors that increase the risk of fire ignition and spread. Forest fires pose a huge threat to both the forest ecosystem and nearby communities. A forest fire, especially during drought, can spread very quickly. Effective fire suppression at the initial stage can avert disaster. This requires a rapid response from firefighting teams equipped with the appropriate equipment.

Characteristics of FOREST hoses

FOREST hoses are ideal for extinguishing forest fires as well as burning meadows or shrubbery. The outer coating made of high quality polyester silk favours heat dissipation due to the so-called wick effect. The fibres of the polyester silk have water-repellent properties. This leads to the drainage of liquid from the hose, providing increased heat dissipation. FOREST hoses withstand high temperatures as well as direct heat or fire. They are also resistant to biological agents such as mould and bacteria, atmospheric conditions including UV radiation, and will not rot or decompose.

The inner jacket is made of durable and flexible thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). FOREST hoses are also available in fluorescent versions, making them easy to use even in low visibility conditions.
